- Prices published, not hidden
- Deliverables listed every month
- Rolling monthly, no lock-in
Quick answer
ProntX SEO packages give UK small and growing businesses clear monthly pricing: Local SEO from £595 a month, Growth SEO typically £1,200 to £2,000, and Scale SEO quoted on scope. Every package includes technical checks, keyword mapping, on-page work, reporting and AI search tracking, on rolling monthly contracts with no lock-in.
ProntX SEO packages start at £595 a month ex VAT, on rolling monthly contracts with no lock-in. Every package is built around the same core work, technical health, keyword and page mapping, on-page optimisation, reporting and AI search tracking, and higher tiers add content, digital PR and more locations or markets.
Why we publish our SEO pricing
Most UK agencies hide SEO pricing behind a discovery call, which makes it impossible to compare like with like. We think you should be able to see the cost and the deliverables before you speak to anyone. The figures on this page are real starting prices, and the same starting price applies to a sole trader and a national brand.
Who these monthly SEO packages are for
Small and growing UK businesses that want steady, measurable growth from Google and AI search: local service firms, professional practices, B2B companies and online shops. If you run a very large site or several countries, our scale tier and our enterprise SEO service are quoted after discovery instead.
Package tiers
What SEO packages does ProntX offer?
Three tiers: Local SEO from £595 a month, Growth SEO typically £1,200 to £2,000 a month, and Scale SEO quoted on scope. The final price depends on how many locations, services, products or markets you need to cover.
| Package | Who it suits | Main inclusions | Price (ex VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local SEO | One location or service area, small business | Technical health check, Google Business Profile, keyword and page mapping, on-page fixes for core pages, citations, review process, monthly report | From £595/month |
| Growth SEO | Several services or locations, growing B2B or ecommerce | Everything in Local, plus a regular content programme, digital PR and outreach for links and mentions, AI search optimisation, conversion tracking | Typical £1,200 to £2,000/month |
| Scale SEO | Large, ecommerce or multi-region sites | Everything in Growth, plus technical programmes, international targeting, migrations support and stakeholder reporting | Quoted on scope |
All three are monthly SEO services on the same terms: rolling contracts, your own accounts, and a free growth audit before you commit. Full details of every service and price sit on our pricing page.

What is included in every SEO package?
Every plan, including the entry tier, covers the foundations that decide whether any other SEO work pays off. Here are the deliverables you can expect from month one.
- Technical health check: crawling, indexing, speed and mobile issues
- Keyword research mapped to specific pages, not a spreadsheet of terms
- On-page optimisation of titles, headings, copy and internal links
- Schema markup for your business, services and FAQs
- Google Search Console and analytics set up in your name
- Enquiry, call or sale tracking so results are measured in leads
- Visibility tracking in AI Overviews and AI assistants
- Competitor review showing who wins your searches and why
- A written plan for the next 90 days, updated monthly
- A plain-English monthly report and a call to go through it
- Direct access to the people doing the work
- Reply within one working day
Local SEO packages focus on the map pack and are explained on our local SEO page. Ecommerce SEO packages add category, product and feed work. Content-heavy plans are covered on our SEO content writing page.
Comparing packages
How do you compare SEO packages properly?
Compare the work, not the price. Ask every agency the same six questions and put the answers side by side.
1
What exactly happens each month?
A good proposal lists deliverables: pages optimised, articles written, technical tickets, outreach targets. A list of activities like “monitoring” and “optimisation” with no numbers attached tells you very little.
2
Who does the work?
Ask whether the work is done in-house or resold to another provider, and whether the person you met will be involved. Many disappointing retainers come down to a pitch from a senior person and delivery by someone else entirely.
3
How will success be measured?
Rankings for a handful of chosen keywords are easy to report and easy to game. Ask how the agency will tie its work to enquiries, calls or revenue, and whether you get access to the raw data in your own Search Console and analytics.
4
How are links earned?
This is where cheap SEO often hides its risk. Ask for examples of links built for other clients and how they were won. Read our link building approach to see what good looks like.
5
What is the contract length?
Minimum terms of six or twelve months mean you keep paying even if nothing happens. Rolling monthly contracts keep the agency focused on earning the next month.
6
What do you own if you leave?
Your website, content, Google Business Profile, analytics and Search Console should all stay in your name. If an agency holds them, leaving becomes painful by design.
Red flags
What are the red flags of cheap SEO packages?
Guaranteed rankings, bulk links, vague reports and long lock-ins. Small business owners who have been burned by cheap SEO describe the same patterns again and again.
- Guaranteed page one or number one rankings. Nobody controls Google, and a guarantee usually means tiny keywords nobody searches for.
- Packages priced by the number of backlinks, or promising hundreds of directory submissions. These are usually automated and can harm your site.
- Cold emails or calls claiming dozens of “critical errors” on your site, followed by a promise of results in 30 days.
- Months of invoices with no visible work: no changed pages, no articles, no list of links, only a ranking graph.
- Reports full of activity and impressions but nothing about enquiries or sales.
- No access to your own Search Console or analytics, or accounts set up in the agency’s name.
- Asking you to choose the keywords, rather than researching what your buyers actually search.
- Minimum terms that stop you leaving when results do not appear.
- A different company name on your card statement from the one you thought you hired.
There is a simple maths problem with very cheap SEO. Once an agency has taken its margin from a very low monthly fee, there may only be an hour or two of real work left for your account. That is rarely enough to write one good page, let alone fix technical issues and earn links. Affordable SEO is absolutely possible, but it means doing fewer things properly, not promising everything for next to nothing.
Pricing explained
How much does SEO cost in the UK?
For a small UK business, SEO typically starts at around £500 to £800 a month for meaningful work. Growing businesses with several services or locations usually invest more, and large or ecommerce sites more again.
What pushes the price up
- How competitive your searches are in your sector and area
- The number of locations, services, products or countries
- The size and technical condition of your website
- How much new content and outreach you need each month
- How fast you want to move
Is affordable SEO for small business possible?
Yes, if the scope is honest. Our Local SEO package is built for exactly that: one location, the pages that matter most, a Google Business Profile that works and a steady stream of reviews. For many local businesses that is the right package for a year or more. When you grow into more services or areas, you move up a tier. When you want to pause, you give a month’s notice.
If you want an SEO price in the UK that is fixed before you start, request a free audit. We send a personal video review and then a written quote, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
Choosing a tier
Which SEO package is right for your business?
Pick the tier that matches how many things you need to rank for, not the one with the longest feature list. If in doubt, start smaller and move up once you see progress.
Local SEO
You serve one area
A dentist, solicitor, accountant, salon or trade business where most customers come from nearby. The priority is the map pack, a strong Google Business Profile, reviews and a handful of excellent service pages. This is the best value package for most small business SEO.
Growth SEO
You sell several things or cover several places
A firm with multiple services, branches or product categories, or a business selling across the UK. You need new content every month, links and mentions from relevant sites, and visibility in AI answers as well as Google.
Scale SEO
Your site is large or complex
Thousands of pages, a big product catalogue, several countries or a migration coming up. Technical work and coordination with your developers become the main job, so we scope it after discovery.
Why ProntX
Why choose a ProntX SEO package?
Published prices, rolling contracts, work you can see and a team that can also fix your website.
Work you can see
Every month you get a list of what changed: pages, articles, fixes, links and mentions. If something was planned and not done, the report says so.
One team for site and search
When SEO needs a faster site or new pages, our web design team builds them. No waiting on a separate developer.
Built for AI search too
Packages include tracking and optimisation for AI Overviews and AI assistants, because buyers increasingly ask an assistant before they click a link.

How much does SEO cost per month in the UK?
Most UK small businesses doing SEO properly spend from around £500 to £1,500 a month, with competitive, multi-location and ecommerce sites spending more. ProntX SEO packages start at £595 a month ex VAT for one location, and our Growth tier is typically £1,200 to £2,000. Large and multi-region sites are quoted after an audit. See our pricing page for every service.
What is included in a ProntX SEO package?
Every package includes a technical health check, keyword research mapped to pages, on-page optimisation, schema markup, analytics and Search Console in your name, lead tracking, AI search visibility tracking and a monthly report with a call. Growth packages add regular content and digital PR for links and mentions. Scale packages add technical programmes and international targeting.
Are cheap SEO packages worth it?
Usually not. A very low monthly fee leaves little time for real work once the provider takes its margin, so cheap packages tend to rely on automated directory links, generic reports and tiny keywords that are easy to rank for. Some low-cost packages are fine for tidying up listings, but they rarely move enquiries. Ask exactly what work is done each month.
How long before an SEO package shows results?
Technical fixes and improvements to existing pages can show movement within a few weeks. Most businesses see meaningful progress in enquiries within three to six months, and competitive sectors can take longer. We set a baseline in month one and report on visibility, traffic and leads monthly, so you can judge progress rather than wait and hope.
Do you offer local SEO packages?
Yes. Our entry package, from £595 a month, is built for businesses serving one location or service area. It focuses on your Google Business Profile, reviews, citations, location pages and map pack tracking. Businesses with several branches move to Growth because each location needs its own profile and pages. More detail is on our local SEO page.
Is there a minimum contract?
No. All ProntX SEO packages run on rolling monthly contracts. You can stop with a month's notice, and you keep your website, content, Google Business Profile, analytics and Search Console because they stay in your name throughout. We think a good agency should earn every month rather than rely on a lock-in.
Can you guarantee first page rankings?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Google does not sell rankings and changes its results constantly. Guarantees usually apply to obscure keywords nobody searches for, or rely on tactics that can harm your site later. What we do guarantee is transparency: a list of the work done each month and honest reporting on what it achieved.
Can I switch packages later?
Yes. Many clients start on Local SEO and move to Growth when they add services, locations or want a steady content and outreach programme. You can also step down if priorities change. Changes take effect from your next monthly cycle, and we agree the new scope in writing before anything changes.
Do you offer ecommerce SEO packages?
Yes. Ecommerce sites usually sit in the Growth or Scale tiers because category pages, product pages, filters, feeds and internal links all need attention, and catalogue size drives effort. We quote after a free audit so the price reflects your actual site. Our ecommerce SEO service page explains the work in more detail.
