Who our SEO services are for
We work with owner-led businesses, growing ecommerce brands, B2B firms and other agencies across London and the UK. Most clients come to us with one of three problems: a website that looks good but brings in almost no enquiries from search, rankings that slipped after a redesign or a Google update, or a previous SEO company that sent monthly PDFs without anyone being able to say what changed.
If you are a local service business, a shop selling online or a company with a long B2B sales cycle, the work looks different. That is why we split our SEO services into specialist areas, all run by the same team and reported in one place.
What changes when you work with us
You get a written plan in the first month that says which pages we will fix, which pages we will build and which searches we are going after. Every month you see the work completed, the rankings and traffic that moved, and the enquiries or sales that came from organic search.
You own everything: your Google Search Console, your analytics, your content and your website. If you leave, nothing is held back. That is the same promise we make on every service we sell, from web design to paid media.

SEO vs AI search
What is the difference between SEO and AI search optimisation?
SEO earns a position in a list of links. AI search optimisation earns a mention or citation inside an answer that a tool like ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews writes for the user. The two overlap heavily, but they are not the same job.
How classic search works
Google crawls your pages, indexes them and ranks them against other pages for a query. The searcher scans ten blue links, a map pack and some ads, then clicks. Your job is to be crawlable, relevant and more trusted than the pages around you.
How AI search works
An AI assistant reads a set of sources, often pulled from a search index, and writes one answer. It might name three brands, quote one paragraph and link to two pages. If your business is not described clearly and consistently across the web, the model either skips you or gets you wrong.
What that means in practice
Strong SEO is still the entry ticket: most AI tools lean on search indexes to choose their sources. On top of that, AI search rewards a few things classic SEO often ignored:
- Clear, answer-first paragraphs that can be quoted on their own
- A consistent description of who you are, what you do and where
- Structured data that ties your brand, services and people together
- Mentions on trusted third-party sites, not just backlinks
- Machine-readable files such as llms.txt and clean markdown versions of key pages
| Factor | Classic SEO | AI search (GEO and AEO) |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Rank a page high for a query | Be named or cited in a generated answer |
| Main signal | Relevance, links, page experience | Entity clarity, consistency, quotable answers, citations |
| Content style | Comprehensive pages targeting keywords | Direct answers, facts and comparisons in short passages |
| Measurement | Rankings, clicks, conversions | Share of voice across a fixed set of prompts |
| Who does it at ProntX | The same team, in the same monthly plan | |
Why ProntX
Why choose ProntX as your SEO company?
Because you get senior people, published prices and a team that can fix your website as well as optimise it. Most SEO agencies in London can do one of those. We were set up to do all three.
One team
We can build what SEO needs
When an audit says the site needs new templates, faster pages or a proper category structure, a typical SEO company hands you a list and waits for your developer. Our web designers and developers sit in the same team, so fixes ship in days rather than months.
Published prices
You know the cost before the call
Our SEO plans start from £595 a month, ex VAT, and the price is on our pricing page. No discovery fee to find out what it costs, and no lock-in: plans run month to month.
AI-ready
We practise what we sell
The ProntX website runs a hand-written llms.txt, markdown mirrors of its pages, a company facts page for AI tools and full schema markup. We test AI search techniques on our own site before we use them on yours.
Ownership
Your accounts stay yours
Search Console, analytics, content and code all sit in your name from day one. We ask for access, never ownership, and you can see our work in your own tools at any time.
How we work
What does a professional SEO services plan actually involve each month?
A professional SEO plan is a repeating cycle: fix what blocks Google, publish what your buyers search for, earn trust from other sites and measure what turned into revenue. Here is how we run that cycle.
1. Foundations first
In month one we crawl the site, review Search Console and analytics, and benchmark you against the three to five competitors who actually win your searches. We fix indexation problems, broken internal links, missing titles and schema errors before writing a single new page, because content on a broken site rarely ranks.
2. A keyword and page map
We group your target searches by intent and assign each group to one page. That stops two of your pages competing for the same query and shows clearly which pages are missing. For most businesses, the gap is service and location pages with real detail, not more blog posts.
Monthly AI visibility checks
Alongside rankings, we run the same set of buyer prompts through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews every month and record whether you are named, cited or missing. When a competitor starts appearing and you do not, we look at which sources the answer drew from and work on getting you onto those pages.
3. Content and authority
We write or rewrite pages in your voice, answer-first, with the questions buyers ask on sales calls. Alongside that we earn mentions and links through digital PR, industry directories, partners and suppliers, avoiding paid link schemes that put sites at risk.
4. Reporting that ties to money
Your monthly report shows what we did, what moved and what it was worth: rankings for priority terms, organic sessions, enquiries or sales from organic search, and your AI search share of voice. Then we agree next month’s priorities together.
A freelance SEO consultant can be a good fit for strategy and advice. If you also need content written, pages built and links earned every month, an agency team is usually cheaper than hiring those skills separately. With us you get consultant-level thinking from senior people, plus the hands to do the work.
Small business SEO
Is SEO worth it for a small business?
Yes, if you pick the right searches. Small business SEO works best when it targets high-intent local and service searches that bigger brands ignore, rather than broad terms you cannot win yet.
A dentist in Clapham does not need to rank for “teeth whitening” across the UK. They need to show in the map pack for “dentist Clapham”, have a strong page for each treatment and collect steady reviews. A plumber needs the same thing for emergency searches in the postcodes they cover. That focus keeps budgets sensible and results measurable.
For small businesses we usually lead with local SEO and a handful of service pages, then widen the net once enquiries are flowing. If your site cannot support that, our small business web design team can rebuild it inside the same project.
- Google Business Profile set up and managed properly
- One strong page per service you want to sell
- Location pages only where you genuinely serve customers
- Review requests built into your normal customer process
- Monthly reporting in plain English, not jargon
- No long contract: stay because it is working
Pricing
How much does an SEO agency in London cost?
Our SEO starts from £595 a month ex VAT on a rolling monthly contract. Most clients sit between £595 and £1,500 a month, depending on how competitive the market is and how much content and authority work is needed.
| Plan | Typical monthly fee | Best for | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation | From £595 | Local and small businesses | Technical fixes, Google Business Profile, core service pages, AI visibility basics, monthly report |
| Growth | Typically £900 to £1,500 | Competitive London markets, ecommerce, B2B | Everything in Foundation plus more content each month, digital PR, comparison pages and conversion tracking |
| Scale | Typically £1,500 and up | Larger sites, multiple locations or countries | Dedicated content programme, migrations, international SEO, deeper AI search tracking |
Final price depends on scope and is agreed after a short call. All plans are rolling monthly with no lock-in. Research across UK agencies shows SME SEO retainers commonly fall between £500 and £1,500 a month, so our pricing sits at the accessible end without cutting senior time.

Do you only work with London businesses?
No. We are based in London and work with clients across the UK. Most of our SEO work happens remotely, with calls and screen shares.
London is where we know the market best: the boroughs, the competition for map pack positions and how expensive clicks get in sectors like legal and dental. That local knowledge shapes our industry work for law firms, dentists and trades, where a single map pack position can be worth more than a page one ranking for a national term.
For UK-wide and ecommerce clients, location matters less than the quality of the plan. We have worked for more than 200 clients over 6+ years, and SEO often runs alongside PPC so paid and organic data can inform each other. Search term reports from Google Ads show which phrases convert, and we use them to choose which organic pages to build next.

How long does SEO take to work?
Technical fixes and Google Business Profile changes can show movement within a few weeks. New pages and authority building usually take 8 to 12 weeks to start ranking, and competitive London terms can take six months or more. We set expectations per keyword group in your first-month plan, so you know which wins should come early and which are longer bets.
Do you guarantee first page rankings?
No, and you should be wary of any SEO company that does. Google controls rankings and no agency can promise a position. What we do commit to is a clear monthly plan, work you can see in your own accounts, and reporting that shows whether organic search is producing enquiries or sales. If it is not working, you can leave at the end of any month.
What is included in your SEO services?
Every plan covers technical health, on-page optimisation, content, authority building and AI search visibility, plus a monthly report and call. The weighting changes by business: local firms get more Google Business Profile and review work, shops get category and product optimisation, and B2B firms get bottom-funnel content and CRM attribution. See our pricing page for plan details.
How much do SEO services cost in the UK?
ProntX SEO starts from £595 a month ex VAT. Most of our clients pay between £595 and £1,500 a month depending on competition and the amount of content and outreach involved. Larger or international sites can cost more. We give you a fixed monthly price after a short call, and contracts are rolling monthly.
Do I need a long contract?
No. All our SEO plans run month to month with no minimum term. SEO does take time to build, so we recommend giving it at least six months, but that is your decision. We would rather keep clients because the numbers are improving than because a contract says they cannot leave.
Will you optimise for ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?
Yes. AI search optimisation is built into every SEO plan. We work on your entity information, answer-first content, schema markup, llms.txt and third-party mentions, then track how often you appear for a fixed set of prompts each month. Read more on our AI search optimisation page.
Can you fix my website as well as do the SEO?
Yes. Unlike most SEO agencies, we have web designers and developers in the same team. If your site needs faster templates, a new structure or a full rebuild before SEO can work, we can do it as part of the same engagement, with no hand-off to a separate developer and no waiting months for fixes.
Do you work with businesses outside London?
Yes. We are based in London but work with clients across the UK, and most SEO work is delivered remotely through calls and shared dashboards. For local businesses outside London we still focus on the towns and postcodes you serve, using the same map pack and review approach.
What do I need to give you to get started?
Access to your website, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile if you have one, plus a 45-minute call about your customers and what you sell most profitably. If any of those accounts do not exist yet, we set them up in your name so you own them from day one.
